Summer student researchers 2015

This summer, MAE welcomed 13 undergraduate summer interns across seven faculty research labs.  The department also hosted 5 high school students under the Office of the Dean for Research Laboratory Learning Program.   The MAE Summer Internship program provides students with the opportunity to explore engineering from the research perspective with the goal of gaining experience that does not result from classroom learning.  Students spent the summer conducting research under the mentorship of faculty, staff and graduate students.  Both programs provide students with the opportunity to work directly with faculty on state-of-the-art research projects and experience a first-hand education with independent research activities.
