Matt Fu received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with honors from the California Institute of Technology in 2013 and is currently a PhD candidate in the Fluid Mechanics and Transport Phenomena advised by Prof. Marcus Hultmark. His research is focused on passive drag reduction in turbulent flow through surface modification, specifically through the use of liquid impregnated surfaces. Recently, he served as an instructor for the W.E.B. DuBois Scholars Institute during the 2015 academic session.
