The University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University (UM-SJTU) Joint Institute invites applications for tenure-track (Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor) or tenured positions in all emerging fields related to Mechanical Engineering. The Joint Institute is particularly interested in the areas of smart manufacturing and design, robotics and control, and dynamics of mechanical systems.


Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a closely related field, and are expected to establish vigorous research programs and contribute to undergraduate and graduate education. Salaries are highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
