Job Description Summary Michigan Technological University, Department of Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics (ME-EM) invites applications for two non-tenure-track lecturer positions. We seek candidates with expertise in mechanical engineering in general and particularly in design, dynamic systems, manufacturing and the energy/thermal area.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) Teach undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering courses.

May include serving on committees.

Conduct outreach activities.

Assist with department’s assessment.

Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work.

Commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying them to everyday work.

Required Education (minimum requirements) PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
Required Experience (minimum requirements) Classroom teaching experience.

Expertise in mechanical engineering in general and particularly in design, dynamic systems, manufacturing, and the energy/thermal area.

Desirable Education and/or Experience  
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities (minimum requirements) Demonstrated organizational skills.

Work Environment and/or Physical Demands The work environment is that of a typical office and/or classroom setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
