Director of the Center for Space Research - University of Texas at Austin

Director of the Center for Space Research: CSR ( is at the forefront of re-search into space science, engineering and technology, and is one of the largest research centers in the Cockrell School of Engineering, with annual expenditures of about $10M per year, and affiliated faculty, staff and students totaling about 100. The Director will be hired at the rank of full professor and will be responsible for establishing center goals, leading efforts to ensure continuation of current strengths in remote sensing, and expanding into new areas to ensure the long-term viability of the center. Candi-dates should have extensive experience with contemporary large-scale research programs, current space missions, or comprehensive analysis of current satellite mission data. This senior leadership position requires recognized expertise in one or more areas of space systems, space technology, and remote sens-ing from space platforms.
