The department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the Naval Postgraduate School, in Monterey California, is seeking an outstanding candidate for a non-tenure track Associate Professor position starting April 2017. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Demonstrated expertise is required in space systems design and engineering as well as in combustion physics. New faculty are expected to develop high quality externally-funded research programs and teach at the graduate levels. The candidate will have an exciting opportunity to collaborate with faculty within the Departments of MAE, Physics and the Space Systems Academic Group. Facilities within MAE include a Satellite and Spacecraft Design Laboratory and a Rocket and Combustion Laboratory among others.
