Assistant Professor - Prairie View A&M University
The Roy G. Perry College of Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Prairie View A&M University invite applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, developing courses and laboratories, developing funded research, and publishing scholarly work.
Prairie View A&M University, a member of the Texas A&M University System, is a public land grant university located 45 miles northwest of Houston, Texas, the nation’s fourth largest city. It has an enrollment of more than 8,000 students and offers bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees in a variety of disciplines.
QUALIFICATIONS: Interested applicants must have: (1) a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines; or (2) completed all Ph.D. degree requirements in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines by the employment date. In addition, the successful candidates must have demonstrated excellent knowledge through education, research or industrial experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in: 1) mechanical design, such as machine design, dynamic systems, and kinematics (for the Mechanical Design position); or 2) manufacturing processes, such as machining processes, computer-integrated manufacturing, and rapid prototyping (for the Manufacturing position). Other areas in mechanical engineering might be also considered.
