Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering - University of Tennessee, Chattanooga

The Mechanical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position for Fall 2018 with expertise in mechanisms, mechatronics, robotics, and MEMS.
Qualifications

 

The successful applicant will collaborate with existing faculty members within the department and across campus, teach and develop new courses in the areas of mechatronics, kinematics & dynamics of mechanisms, and robotics, and advise graduate students. Furthermore, it is expected that the candidate will establish an externally funded research program, be committed to scholarly activity, and be engaged in service to the profession. The applicant should be prepared to clearly articulate their plan to develop this focus area within the College of Engineering and Computer Science. The successful candidate will have an undergraduate and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
